Return & Exchange Policy

If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase at threads4thought.com, we offer free returns (for US addresses), and we will gladly accept unworn, unwashed or defective merchandise for a refund or an exchange within 30 days. We reserve the right to refuse worn or damaged merchandise. We DO NOT accept returns, exchanges or store credit on products labeled "Final Sale" or products that are specified as non-returnable in the description.

Original shipping fees are not eligible for a refund. Refunds are issued for the value of returned merchandise only. Returns made outside of our returns request system may be delayed or rejected and returned to you without credit.

International Returns: The customer is responsible for all duties, taxes, or brokerage fees. If you return an item or refuse an item and we are charged a tax, that duty or tax amount will be deducted from your order total before we credit your account.

All refunds to credit cards will appear within 1-2 billing statements.

2023 Holiday Returns: Any item purchased from November 9th, 2023 on will have a return deadline of January 15th, 2024.


Please note: We are able to process returns/exchanges on items purchased on threads4thought.com ONLY. If you purchased one of our items from another retailer, you need to contact that retailer for all return/exchange requests.Questions? Is everything returnable?

Most everything is, however gift cards, special priced & clearance items and final sale, where noted are not eligible for refunds. In some cases exchanges and store credit may be allowed.

What is the step-by-step return process?

For U.S. returns and exchanges:

Returns are easy, fast and free! There are just a few quick steps to complete. 

  1. Go to https://returns.threads4thought.com/.
  2. Select the items you're looking to return or exchange and fill out the necessary details.
  3. Ship the items back to us using the resealable shipping bag/box and the system-generated prepaid label you received when completing the return form. 
  4. Once your items are returned, you’ll receive an email notification of your refund or new order (if it's an exchange)

For international returns:

Where can I find my order number?

Your order number can be found in a few places.

  1. Your order number is listed on your order confirmation, shipping confirmation, and delivery confirmation emails from us. Check your spam/junk folder if you did not receive them.
  2. Your order number is listed on the shipping list included with your order.
  3. You can locate all your order numbers and history by logging into your account. You must have created an account previously or at the time of your order to use this option.
How do I get a return shipping label?

U.S. customers

You'll receive a system-generated prepaid label after completing the return form. You’ll also have the option to download and print the return label.

International customers

You need to request a return by completing the return form. However, we currently do not offer pre-paid labels. International customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping.

Can I ship 2 different returns in one box?

Nope! Please ensure that all returns are sent separately.

Each label is uniquely encoded and associated with a particular order. If you send two or more returns in one box, only the transaction that is associated with the label on the box will be processed.  If there is more than one label on the box, only one label will be scanned. 

If you ship two or more returns in a single box, only one of the returns will not be processed.

We know that it makes more sense to ship them together, but at this time, that is the only way to get a timely refund or exchange on both orders.

Do I have to use your pre-paid return label?

If you’d rather ship your items with your preferred carrier, we still ask you to fill out the return request form.

Keep in mind, we don't reimburse fees for returns using your own method, and the return shipping is FREE if you use the label we provide!

Please note: Returns made outside our returns request system may be delayed or rejected and returned to you without credit. If you still choose to use your own return label, please save your tracking number, so we can better assist you with any issues.

I returned items from another store to you by mistake. What do I do now?

We understand that mistakes happen. If your return shipment contains merchandise from another company/brand, we will attempt to contact you and get it shipped back to you.However, please note, we are not liable for any lost or misplaced merchandise that is shipped to us by mistake.

How long does it take to process my return?

From the time you send back your return, a refund will normally take 7-10 business days. Some banks will take up to an additional 5-10 days to apply the refund to your account.

Refunds are returned to the original payment method or gift card only. You will receive an email when it's processed and it will take several more business days for it to show up on your credit card statement.
