Sustainable. Ethical. Impactful

A Simple Choice

Founded in 2006, Threads 4 Thought designs and produces apparel that has a positive impact on people and an innately smaller impact on our planet. We work hard to source sustainable raw materials for our fabrics and partner with ethical factories to make our products.

We are always striving to do better and elevate the ethical and sustainable standards within our industry.

A Note From Our Co-Founder

Since 2006, we have been on a mission to create fashion that truly makes a difference for people and for our planet. We have made so much progress over the years and are constantly working to do things in a better way.

We are extraordinarily proud to be at the forefront of a movement towards sustainability that is now taking shape across our industry.

What we have accomplished as a brand thus far:

  • 100% of our products use the most eco-friendly raw materials & fabrics available.

  • Our main factory recycles 80% of all its industrial water one of the highest reuse rates in the world.

  • Have forged lasting relationships & partnered with some of the best certified factories all across the globe.

  • Through our partnership with Green Story, as of 2022, all of the products we produce are CO2 neutral.

  • Currently approximately 70% of our production is packaged using WAVE Bags & we are on our way to eliminating single use poly-bags

  • We use FSC certified paper for all of our branding materials, boxes that are made from recycled content across our supply chain and eco-enclose branded packaging for all of our e-commerce shipping

And there are still many things to be done. Our top priorities are:

  • To fully eliminate single use poly-bags through our partnership with WAVE Bags or other packing methods that we are currently testing.

  • About to bring to market a brand new revolutionary dye technology that will dye fabrics & garments in a completely closed loop system with 95% less water and zero chemicals.

  • To become a CO2 positive company.

  • To increase the amount of reusable energy in our supply chain.

  • To figure out how to truly close the loop & recycle used clothing.

As we continue along our journey, it is our promise that we will be transparent about what we are doing & what we are not (yet) doing. Our goal is to inform & educate everyone on the process, continuing to do what we do while striving towards bigger & greener opportunities for our brand & our industry. Thank you all for your support over all these years in helping us get to this moment. I have never been more excited about the possibilities that we can achieve together & for the first time in a lot of years, I can see the progress that we are making as an industry. We are grateful to be part of this progress & grateful for your support...without it, none of this is possible.
