Cutting down on single-use plastic is a great goal to have, but can seem daunting to achieve. With the amount of single-use plastic out there in establishments that are out of our control, like restaurants and stores, it can seem nearly impossible to stop using single-use plastic. But, there are easy steps that you can take to get started on the journey of cutting out single-use plastic from your life entirely.
It starts with thinking of the items that you use every day. Things like soap, shampoo, conditioner, food containers, cups, the list goes on. Once you find the items that are constantly used, it's a matter of a little research to find a replacement! You would be surprised how many things have an easy, non-plastic alternative. Below are just a few companies that are offering sustainable alternatives that are either reusable, recycled, recyclable, compostable, or biodegradable.
