Our Factories

Designed in Los Angeles, ethically made around the world.

The Issue

Our Innovative Next Steps

Our Packaging: All of our products manufactured in Weihai, China are shipped in WAVE eco friendly bags. WAVE bags are made out of a bio-based polymer compound that comes from the raw material cassava. WAVE bags are an ideal alternative for regular plastic, as they merely make use of the sustainable natural resources available. WAVE bags compost naturally in soil or landfills within three to six months. WAVE dissolves in water leaving a 100% natural liquid, composts in soil without leaving harmful traces, and leaves a non-toxic ash when burning.

Our Dyeing Process: In our Weihai, China factory, we recycle 80% of the water that is used in the dye process. This is one of the highest industrial water reuse rates in the world. In addition we are working to implement a brand new dye technology called Clean Color. This technology was invented by Dr. Wong, who invented the modern day organic dry cleaning methods. Clean Color technology is a completely closed loop dye system that reduces water use by 95% & eliminates all harmful chemicals & waste that is used in the traditional dye process. This is a revolutionary technology & Threads 4 Thought will be one of the first brands to use this dye method as part of our production with the goal of scaling it over the next 5 years.
