These shorts are a beautiful lightweight fabric, and I love the fit and the rise. They are generous. I could probably go with an extra small, but I'm gonna keep the small because I like my things a bit oversized. I ordered so many chambray and denim shorts this year, probably 10 pairs, and this is the only one that really works for me. The waist is very comfortable and not tight. It's a nice soft elastic that doesn't dig in. Just like their joggers.
